Andong Salted Mackerel, a brand of ANDONG SALTED MACKEREL CO., LTD., is a representative marine product of Korea indigenous to Andong, which is hygienically wrapped in vinyl and sold across the country through various channels, including major supermarkets, prestigious department stores, its own official website, TV home shopping, online shopping malls, and social commerce. In addition, it is exported to around 10 foreign countries, including the United States, Canada, Chile, Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Nepal and Mongolia, and we are constantly expanding overseas market for the product.
Andong Salted Mackerel is Quality Certification No. 1 of by the National Fisheries Products Quality Administration Service, and received HACCP Certification from the Korea Food & Drug Administration for the first time in the industry. It was also selected as an APEC global best brand, and presented as a successful model of local brands advanced to the world market at the 33rd APEC Small and Medium Enterprise Working Group Meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2011, attracting intensive attention from businessmen from around the world. Andong Salted Mackerel was introduced by foreign media, including NHK and CNN, to the world, playing a key role in promoting Korea and Korean dishes.
